The Squirf Village was the peaceful and serene home to a group of small, gnomelike people. Unfortunately, it was close to a nuclear testing site. Some of the Squirfs, who normally stand two apples high, were exposed to dangerous levels of gamma radiation. One of them, Burly Squirf, mutated into a hulking beast. Often misunderstood and feared, he was forced to leave his village after sitting on Happy Squirf's house.
He travelled the world until finding a home in San Municipal, Texas. There, he joined The Revengers and found his place among the other crime-fighters.
